Savoring the season.....

Its been a whirlwind here at our homestead! On Sunday our son and daughter in law joined us for services...this is such a blessing and answer to prayer! They like the church and the service!! God is so good! Monday brought me to watch my grandson for a few hours, Dear Hubby had taken Monday and Tuesday off, so he was here too, to enjoy spending time with little Nicholas!! He is growing so quickly, taking a few steps and then plopping down...it won't be long until he is walking and running around!!! A few of you ladies wondered what kind of store I was working at, its a furniture store, and haven't heard back from them since last Thursday when I went to work last. I am trusting the Lord through this! Its His will and not my own, I want to walk in His perfect will for my life!! Tuesday brought cleaning and the daily laundry, working in the yard some, and driving down to Camp Pendleton with Hubby to pick up some medication. It was a relaxing trip, took the back road and this is such a pretty drive no matter the time of year. We have had some much cooler temperatures, and we are certainly loving that!! The new college semester starts next Monday and the kids are getting geared up for that, they want to go to Sam's club and purchase things for lunches that they can take with them, and not spend money eating out all the time...this is wisdom!! I purchased some Autumn decorations at the Dollar store, a wreath, Fall berry and flower picks in some really beautiful colors, along with some Eucalyptus sprays, they always smell so clean and fresh! All that is left for me to do is purchase a few candles...Pumpkin Spice, Macintosh Apple, just to name a few. I have my pillows and throws store in an old steamer truck, where I keep the seasonal decor items. Its easy to get too, and I wash my summer throws and pillows, and the gently put them inside until next spring...they will be ready to use when needed. Once the linens, pillows, and throws are out, then I set myself to start adding a few touches of Fall to our home! I will even include the outside porches in this as well. I love this time of year, where the season starts to change ever so gently...warm during the day and cooler nights...but for right now i'm happy and so content...life is so good..and i'm savoring this time, and this season I find myself in now!

looks like you have been busy! Can't wait to see your fall decorations. I am waiting for the outside of the house to be finished painted and then I will start putting mine up.

I can hardly believe fall is almost upon us...yet the air is totally 'fallish'. I love to hear the song of the locusts though I know lots of people don't like them. Time is so fleeting. It sounds like you are getting lots of things accomplished though. Aren't the dollar store nice? I like them too. And the nice thing about the U.S. is the varitety of things everywhere. We are spoiled I fear...=) ps..so nice to hear your son and his family came to church with you. How precious.
