Not so ordinary days~

Woke at 4:45 this morning to the smell of freshly brewed coffee! I set the delay brew on the coffee maker last night, so I wouldn't have to fumble half asleep still getting the coffee ready.
Had my morning devotions and prayer time this morning as well. Have a load of laundry going, and need to go and fold clothes and start another load.
Tasks for today will be:
Re-organizing the pots and pans
Finish up on the laundry and put them away
Take son to work at 12
Scrubbing the counter tops in the kitchen
Dinner will be Frito Chili Pie (with leftover chili I h ave frozen in the freezer)
Fresh fruit
My grandson is napping right now, and I'm taking a break from this mornings routine and drinking some more coffee! Outside my window I see the trees swaying in a gentle cool breeze and our dog sleeping on the wicker love seat on the patio. Its a cool 59 degrees, thank goodness that its finally cooling down to more seasonal temperatures in this area! A small pot of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg are simmering on the back of the stove to fragrance the air.
The house it quiet and today is another Gift from God. How will I use it? What will I do for Him?While I may not be a missionary in a foreign land, I am called to be a witness for the Lord here and now. Being a missionary in my neighborhood, in the marketplace, within my family, speaking a word in season and encouraging others in a world that is so hurting. So for today, He will lead me throughout the day, and when the days ends I'm hoping that I've done right in His eyes, that I've done as He required and asked of me, all for the Glory of God.
I wish you a fruitful and peaceful day in Him!!!

Blessings to you, dear friend! You are so right! We are ALL equipped to be a witness for Him! For most of us, it will be right in our own home, neighborhood, and workplace. What an impact we can have for the kingdom!

I'm so glad to read that you are a missionary in your neighbourhood too. A smile, a cheery word or praying for people around us is so important.

I wish I was a morning person. I get up around 7:30 but I often think of how much I could get done in the early morning hours. It sounds like you have had a full day . And a wonderful way to start your day with devotions to the lord.
