The treasure....

Today I sit here, humbled beyond words really. I have spent much time in prayer the past few weeks, and searching scripture. There is a hunger in me for the Lord that I have never experienced before. I have been saved for over 20 years, but its a deep hunger for the things of God. He is the only one who satisfies, spending time with Him in my *prayer closet* is a treasure. He is doing something new within me, its Him who orchestrates this hunger and longing for more of Him at every level of my life. My life is truly blessed with a loving family and friends...all needs are met, and I find myself talking to the Lord throughout the entire day....in the little nonsensical ways that I think wouldn't matter, but to Jesus it does matter, He wants all of us, every bit of us, holding nothing back, even those little nonsensical, mundane happenings of daily living, He wants to share in these too, not just the *big stuff*! I want more of Jesus, more of His presence..more of Him. As I was praying yesterday morning regarding family things, I was saying to the Lord that having done all I can do, I now stand, and the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said this, " You can stand, but you are not alone for you stand In Jesus, in the authority that has been giving to you, for if you be His, then you stand in Jesus and having done all you stand in Him, and His strength, endurance and power". I just wept....He met me again at my greatest point of need...so therefore I STAND!!! I encourage each of you today to seek Him in ALL things because the Lord wants it all, hold nothing back and give it all over to Him, troubles, fear, your future and your will, and in return you will enter into a blessed peace and rest...the peace that transcends all understanding. Blessings to you this day and everyday!! " Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, O Lord, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul" Psalm 143:8

Yes ma'am. You speak the truth. You know, when I get down and doubt the Lord, it's the Holy Spirit and that real "peace that passes understanding" that puts me right everytime.

Thanks for sharing from your heart. Everytime. ;)

Give Jesus all of our fears..Yes, only HE can take them and make them something!! I know...I have definite fears for My hubby and my future but I try so hard to give that fear over to my LORD. He is the only one that has the answer...I appreciate your post today. It always helps me to read exactly what I know is the truth...Thanks MINDY

Mindy, this was a beautiful post. Those times we feel so close to the Lord are so beautiful but they are just a preview of the eternal life we will have with him someday. Isn't that awesome?
