a Few Fabulous Finds~

As promised here are a few photos of my latest finds! Spent 10.00 total!!! A great little cookbook from Emilie Barnes...have quite a few of her books and they are so resourceful. A little easel to put a pretty picture once i've painted it. A clock with the cutest little flowers on it...that was .50!!! A silver snifter that will be polished up and used for a vase. Another basket...can never have enough of these it seems, and 2 books some berried garland for Fall, this may be used upon my mantle. A wall mounted ironing board for 1.00!! Found 2 beautiful burgundy velver throw pillows which will again be used this Fall when I change the room to reflect the change of the seasons, and one other pillow which is a pretty shade of sage green which will be used in the family room.
It was quite the busy day today, after doing my usual Monday morning "Home Blessing " it was off to Lowes to pick up some valances for the family room and assorted other items needed for the home.
Lots of drywall dust to contend with, seems as if i'm forever dusting but this is what happens when slight remodeling projects come about...I cannot wait until this project is finished!!!! The crown molding looks lovely though and it will be well worth it once the window casing is up and the curtains are hung!!!! A little at a time, just baby steps towards the finish line!
I have wanted to get started with the Laundry room area, but this project of DH has set me back and i'm so hoping that I can get the painting done at aleast before the heat sets in for the summer...as the laundry room is in my garage!!
My home smells wonderful..i'm burning a Trapp candle that my daughter gave me for Mothers Day, its called "Ireland" and its absolutely divine!!!! The entire house smells wonderful!
Tomorrow brings yet another full day for me...much to do around the homestead, once my feet hit the floor I make up the bed, get dressed and do my morning routine, come downstairs and pour a hot cuppa, grab my bible, go sit out on the patio among the beauty of the early morning and really start my day in His word and getting my orders for the day!!! Meet you there tomorrow!
Blessings to you....

There is more thrill to that search than shopping at department stores.

Hope you're feeling better.
