the "new" sitting room.....
Some pics of the sitting room i've been working on for the past 2 days. I have worked on and off, since i've been in pain the past 4 or five days....and yesterday I dragged myself to the gym, I had more energy afterwards but the pain was still there...but ALL IS WELL...i'm going forward and refuse to let this get to me. I decided to claim the spare room, and make it a sitting room...complete with a small stereo and candles!! The dresser was given to me from my grandparents..I decided to paint it white last year along with the bookcase onthe other wall to unify the pieces. The rocking chair I purchased at a yard sale for a song, the suitcase and stand also came from a yard sale...$5.00 for both pieces!! The lamp was $1.00 at a yard sale too! the 2 little vintage dresses were mine when I was a little girl...Mom gave me these years ago, and I've been toting them around for years and using them wherever our home was at the time.

Oh, how beautiful! What a perfectly lovely sitting room. You did a wonderful job! I want to come over for a cuppa and sit with you and look at all the things you have in your room.
