Just came home from exercising...now I have the energy to get this house in shape...yesterday dear husband had some friends over, they were outside on the patio and it started to turn cold, he decided to start a fire in one of the pot belly stoves he has...needless to say smoke was everywhere and I left my bedroom windows open to air out the room...lo' and behold, when we went to bed last night the room smelled of wonderful smoke....argh..So today I not only get to tackle the weekly home blessing...but deal with how to get the pungent smell of wood smoke from my room!!!! I really have to laugh at this, what else can a girl do other than to remember to close the windows!!!! Time to get it in gear for the day. My grandson is here for a few hours today and i'm going to spend some time enjoying him!! Chicken and dumplings, with a green salad is the dinner for tonight...perfect weather for it.... cloudy with another chance of rain.....enjoy your day!!

Enjoy your day Mindy - and good luck with the smoky smell! I am coming to love blessing my home, and now I can whizz through it in a couple of hours, and that leaves more time to do things like sew!

hugs xx

What a great picture of the girl holding the flour. I like it. Thats too bad about the smoke...you just never know when something like that will happen, right out of the blue. Did you ever hear that burning candles helps to get rid of smoke odor? I don't know if it works or not. Hope you've had a good day.

in our house i used to be the one to smoke us out! the keeper of the flame that would puff out of the woodstove unexpectantly at times! :o)

blessings to you!
