The new year begins....

I wish you all a Happy New Year! We spent New Years eve with lots of family! We made tacos and enchiladas, sat outside with a roaring fire and enjoyed each others company greatly! We stayed with our dear best friends who are truly family to us. The entire family was there and it was such a blessing! A wonderful time had by everyone....God has blessed us all indeed!
Today I woke to a cool wind blowing again, but now its 73 degrees! Amazing in the month of January. I went to prayer this morning, which is always a blessing for me, such a sense of walking in purpose.
I came home to start laundry and get the kitchen taken care of...still have quite a bit to do, but will have to set a pace and methodically take care of the rest of the chores a little a a time. Started putting together my new bill organizer. I am combining both the organizer and household notebook in one, so I can have all my routines, phone numbers and bill organizer together in one spot...keeping it streamlined!
Dinner this evening will be pot roast with carrots and onions, mashed potatoes and sauteed green beans! Both of my kids are working today and hubby has been gone to work since 430 this morning!
I will be deep cleaning in the dining room this week...cleaning the carpet and dusting everything in the china cabinet, and rearranging things and just sprucing it all up a bit!
Time to purge the files and start the new year off with a clean slate in the desk area too....will I don't relish this particular task, its definitely needed, and it will be done this week too.
I do enjoy this first week of the new year...setting the home right and accomplishing the tasks that need attending to. Creating an order to the home, and decluttering some as well, always keeps me busy.
I am feeling better and taking good care of myself. I went to bed around 7pm last night took a bubble bath and put on some comfy jammies, lit a candle next to my bed, and just read and watched a little TV before going to sleep...it was delightful and felt so luxurious. We go have to be good to ourselves and take time to pamper, and rejuvenate!
Time to get back to the home blessing..have a wonderful day filled with the peace of God!

Dear Mindy- You are an inspiration to me! I have some organizing and rearranging to do in the
TTC. After moving and packing and unpacking for 3 years, I would much rather be crafting.
Thank you for the motivation! I’m so glad to hear you are feeling better!

Mindy, your luxurious evening sounds just enchanting. I want one too....grin. I appreciate how dedicated you are to your home. "Sticking to the stuff" isn't always easy with never ending chores. A clean house is a happy home though and I've always noticed I feel more relaxed when there isn't clutter. Some of our rooms are just right, but those closets...look out! =) Happy New Year to you, may it be one of your happiest ever!

Streamlined is good. We should always take a look at how to improve things if it isn't quite working for us. Your New Year's Eve sounds quite delightful!

There is just something so "cleansing" about the New year! I, too, love to set things in order, and de-range things! Blessings to you, dear Mindy!

Mindy, I have been away from your beautiful blog far, far too long. Last year, I re-entered employment after an absence of more than four years. I am 62 and in a big city, not my beloved bush. I consider the provision of the Lord a marvel. To-day, driving to work I asked the Lord for a New Year verse to think upon and learn from for the whole year. Romans 12:2 seemed to be rearing its head once again but I asked anyway, saying that if he did not want to provide one I would go back to learn what I may not have already learned from Romans 12:2. I opened up your blog and I know that the scripture from Isaiah is for me. I have a few thoughts and goals for the new year (I seem to have an architectural degree for castles in the air!) and I know this is God's word in all that - it will be a yardstick for me. SO thank you for blessing me and allowing God to bless me through you. May your God pour out his richest blessings to you and yours in the year ahead.

Blessings and bliss
