Maintaining my peace and joy~

Happy Friday!

I have much to do today and have a late start on it also! I slept in this morning, a rarity, but needed . Strife has attempted to enter into our home, and I spent alot of last night praying and seeking the Lord regarding many issues. I have peace today as I did yesterday. I stand fixed and not moved! Those who are closest to you, at times hurt the most....this is the case in this situation. I have given it up to the Lord and released and let go, and chosen the path of forgiveness...why hang on? I will not allow this to drag me down and take my joy and peace!!! The scripture for today is found in Proverbs in the 14th chapter and the 26th verse..."He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge"!!! He is my fortress and I take refuge in him for I am His and He is mine!!!!
Today I must finish scraping the protective window film off of the transom window in the dining room. It was on when we moved into this home, and it was baked on and turning brown, not very pretty to say the least...
There is laundry to do and sheets to change...putting on the flannels today!!
Light vacuuming and dusting
Run to Target for some items
Pay a bill
Make Dinner (soup and sandwiches)
This evening I was invited by a lady at church to go see the new movie "One night with the King", we are only paying 3.75 for tickets too! That is a blessing!!!
My son and grandson are here visiting for the morning, and the little one is sleeping right now. He had the broom out and was "helping" grandma sweep the kitchen floor!! LOL!!
Well I'm off to tidying up the house and get the errands done. My prayer the Lord will keep you in perfect peace for your mind is stayed upon Him. Blessings to you this day....

Forgiveness is sometimes hard but it's usually the right thing to do. Giving it to the Lord is a far better solution than trying to handle it on your own. Hope you have a blessed weekend.

Mindy, I love how you turn to the Lord! And we know how faithful he is to give us His peace. You sound like the perfect homemaker my friend! Your grandson sounds so cute, isn't it great how they love to help us when they are little and when they get older...forget it. Oh well, life goes on and what can we do. Wishing you blessings!

There is such power in forgiveness! So much so, that when we forgive others, our Father can forgive us. Yet when we hold back, He must, also. Matt. 6:14-15
Have a blessed weekend!
