A cozy day....

The house is quiet this morning. As I look outside this morning the sky is a brilliant, lovely shade of blue and not a cloud anywhere. The air is crisp and cold, so it will be a cozy day at home for me!

I have some coffee brewed, and some vanilla chai spice creamer, which is delicious, and I'm sitting here at the desk just letting the day unfold gently. Not in a hurry to scramble about to get things done. I will be making a pot of homemade turkey noodle soup and some bread in the breadmaker.

Today's to do list includes:

Laundry

Vacuuming and dusting the living /family rooms

Pay a few bills

Decorate the mantle and the family room

Workout this afternoon

We had some fierce winds yesterday, over 60mph! They are expected to continue until Saturday. Hubby said at times yesterday when he was driving, the winds we kicking up all the dirt and dust, blowing it everywhere and it was so hard to see and worse than fog!

I did go to Kohl's last night as they were having a 50% off sale! I purchased a illuminated ceramic village, it came with 10 pieces, a barn, house, pond, animal and people...to go with the church my kids bought for me last year. I also purchased some candles that were 60% off...so today the little Christmas village will be erected upon our desk top shelf.

I will be posting photos of the house dressed up for the Christmas season!

This is my favorite time of year...its so very special to me and my family! Let us share photos and traditions with one another, maybe implement something new for our families! What are some of your traditions that your family does year after year? Have a yummy recipe? A beautiful Christmas memory you want to share? Feel free to post them either here or on your blog! I wish you a peaceful day filled with His joy!! Blessings to you...
