Seasonal Splendor

I've been wanting to share some photos with you of the recent trip to the mountains with our Son, Daughter-in-law and Grandson as well as some from around the house. Some gourds casually arranged around the compote on the dining room table. I love the look of this, the deep autumnal colors with the creamy color of the compote bowl, mixed with the pewter. The second picture is taken in the mountains where we have been going since I was a little girl. This is a family tradition that my grandparents started years ago, and I have kept it going with my own children, and have the privilege to pass it down to my grandson. These pumpkins were everywhere! The day was cold and drizzly. Alot of fog kept us from being able to see alot of the landscape, but we enjoyed the day! We went down the mountain and let the little one wander through the pumpkin patch until we found some pumpkins and gourds. We are using them in arrangements around the house and yard! The last picture was taken in the evening...I loved the shadows that the trees cast upon the wall and desk area. My writing lamp looked so pretty as the sunlight penetrated it. I enjoyed quite a relaxing day. I worked some in the master bedroom. Stripped the bedding and let the down feather bed air out some, sprayed my favorite lavender linen spray upon all the freshly washed linens as I remade the bed. Crawling into bed tonight will be a delight for me... a guaranteed good nights sleep awaits!!! "May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and work." 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

Beautiful photo of your family! Your daughter in law looks a lot like my 14 yod Avery! Same hair, I think!
