A Beautiful Sunday....

A wonderful service at church today! Blessed me greatly, and just what I needed to hear. Its a relaxing day here at home. Last night we had our grandson overnight, which was a delight as he slept through the night until this morning! The extra hour of sleep I didn't get due to Hubby waking me very early, thinking we had over slept!!

For today i'm relaxing after puttering about the house tidying things up a bit. Hubby is cutting back the fruit trees with his buddy who has come to visit for the day. I had plans to make a big Sunday dinner, but we will be ordering Pizza and just enjoying time on the patio (the guys) and as for myself, watching Jane Austen's "Emma". My daughter rented the movie for me, so i've made a pot of coffee, and having some right now with Vanilla Caramel creamer. I have lit my candles, just a few (Peach) and i'm ready to relax.

I live near the fires that killed 4 of our firefighters this past week...the fires were intentionally set, and the 4 men died trying to save a house. The Santa Ana winds were so fierce this past week, that was a huge dynamic to this fire. Please pray for the families that have lost there loved ones. One young firefighter clings to life as he has burns over 90% of his body. Lots of pain, lots of people hurting and afraid. As the darkness grows darker the light of the Body of Christ, His glorious Church, we must be a beacon that cuts through the darkness and share the hope of all mankind~ Jesus Christ~ All we have is in Him!! Enjoy your Sunday, the day of rest, and be kind to others... strangers you meet everyday, those at the marketplaces and at your jobs, those that come across your path.....for you never know who may be in the valley of decision!

"Put ye the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down: for the press is full, the vast overflow; fpr their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision." Joel 3: 13-14

We are to be ready in season and out of season...He is coming soon. Can you not feel it? The fields are indeed, ripe for harvest, but sadly, the laborers are few. We must indeed, let our light shine before men. Excellent post.

Mindy, I did not know that you lived so close to those fires. Our son lives out that way also. He says that the ash is always drifting over his way. Are you ever in danger? I pray that you arent. Yes, I heard about those that set the fire. i just do not understand WHY anyone would want to do that. How incredibly SAD!!
Take care. Oh have you tried the Pumpkin Spice Creamer by International delight? I like it. Sandy

It is so sad that the fireman lost their life's because of someone who wanted to pull a prank and start a fire.

The fires are so unbelievable...why anyone would deliberately do something like that. Those poor grieving families! May God help the one still clinging to life.~~~I love an easy supper of pizza once in a while...you know, when you stop & buy it..smile. & Yes, we must be faithful to be witnesses...for the bridgegroom cometh. A blessed thought to know we are his. May we see others come to a saving knowledge of Christ too!

I didn't realize that you were that close to those fires either. What goes through some people's minds never ceases to amaze me. This time had tragic consequences. I hope those responsible spend a long time in jail.

I'm glad your grandson's overnight visit went well. That must have been such a blessing.
