Autumn Home Notes...

Its been a busy few days here at home. Tackling my dining room area this week and purging my desk files. The amount of paper we keep is just amazing to me. For the last few weeks I've wanted to purge files, but other areas have needed my attention. So tomorrow I'm certain I will get to the file drawer and start the process. I have the best plans to accomplish a task, but somehow get side-tracked with another chore. I always write out my schedule for the next day, the evening before. I have found this to be a better system for me. When i wake up I just look at what needs to be done and begin my day.

I spent 30 minutes in my garage last night just tidying up my laundry room area, de-cluttering the area as I went along. Felt like I had accomplished something when I was done! Somehow it makes it alot easier to do the laundry when the area is neat and tidied up!

The weather was so cool this morning when I woke up. I woke at 430 this morning, made some coffee, read my bible some...got sleepy again and layed down for a little while longer. Such luxury for me! Usually I hit the ground running in the morning, but not today.

The leaves are starting to change here too, what a delight it is to see the autumn colors visit my yard and area where we live. Later this month we will be going to the mountains for our family tradition of apple and pumpkin harvesting! Its always such a fun time with the family. This time our grandson will be walking about, so this is extra special for us! Nicholas will be spending the night with his grandma and grandpa this weekend....we are looking forward to his visit with us!!!

I have been constantly encouraging myself with the Word of God due to feeling pressed in every direction. The enemy would attempt to try to discourage me through those closest to me. Jesus said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled, Trust in God; trust also in me." John 14:1.....I've been sleeping little cause I feel as if I'm on watch, my heart is guarded, and I'm in a battle I know, I can sense it and feel it. But nevertheless, I stand, and pray and give it over to the Lord. He is my help and my refuge, and in Him I trust, for His love never fails.

Light a spicy scented candle, fix a hot cup of tea, have something a little decadent (chocolate), put on some lovely music to soothe your senses, grab a wonderful book you've been wanting to read or a magazine filled with autumn touches, a cozy throw and enjoy this simple pleasure. Blessings to you and yours this day!!!

I'll say it again, your site here has exactly the perfect name 'Peaceful Corner' 'cause that's exactly what you create here----a quiet, sweet place for folks to visit.

Oh, that you and I lived next door to me. You're like a calm breeze.

Hope the file purging goes well. I admit to probably keeping too much, paperwise, but as soon as I toss something I need it! LOL!!

Your simple pleasures of organizing, spending time in God's Word and making your surroundings pleasant are good examples to your readers. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
