looking forward....

I am finally getting back in to the swing of my routines since this last bout with illness. I'm feeling better and the energy is increasing everyday. I'm very careful to take my liquid vitamins and drink plenty of water, in fact, i've increased my water intake tremendously!!
Dear Hubby worked has worked alot since he's gone back to work...he worked from 6am yesterday morning through the night until 2pm today!!! He is asleep on the sofa right now, and may very well stay there until its time for dinner.
I have chicken in the crock pot...browned it up a bit with some olive oil in a skillet, a little kosher salt, fresh cracked pepper and Provencal seasonings, put it all in the crockpot and the last hour of cooking, fresh lemon juice will be added...along side will be some garlic infused brown rice, and a big green salad!
This week has me focusing on deep cleaning the kitchen, nothing extreme, just those things you wouldn't normally do everyday such as: windows, cleaning out the pantry, baseboards and the like. Decluttered 3 kitchen drawers...that somehow turned into junk drawers!! Went through all the medicines and put in baskets. I took off one cabinet door in the kitchen last year, so I rearranged the top shelf which is mostly decorative accessories such as, rooster, pitchers, old plates, and vintage kitchen items....gave them a thorough washing, wiped out the cabinets and put some of the items back, and edited others until the Autumn season. Looks fresh and new. I would love to either paint these ole cabinets or get new ones, and since money is a factor, it may be painting them with a glazing technique to age them.
I still haven't painted the laundry room, as its be so hot here, it may very well wait until this Fall to do that. When the temperature reads 100 degrees outside, you don't want to be painting in it!! So may projects i would love to do, but in due time is what I always say. My Mom and Dad have always told me..."As long as you have a home, there will always be something that needs to be done". Isn't that the truth!!
I very grateful to the Lord who has blessed us with this home....just the testimony of getting this home is evidence enough for me that God is always working on our behalf!! The details, those little things we cannot even fathom because we cannot wrap ourselves or our minds around it enough, for His ways are not our ways, and our thoughts are not His thoughts. We all have tests, trials, and circumstances, but God is faithful to deliver us out and make a way for us when there is no way. So today, I reflect where God has brought us out from and where God has placed us, and abide in Him as we walk into tomorrow!

This is what the Lord says~ your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, and directs you in the way you should go."
