Corner of my home~

Greetings!! I wanted to share with you some pictures of our downstairs bath. My Husband and I remodeled it last summer. We tore out the old cabinets and tile, put in new tile, the wainscoting, cabinets and fixtures. We wanted a cottage look and think we achieved it. The large glass canister next to the sink was my Memas'...she kept various soaps in this pretty decanter, and thought I would do the same. It has the the most lovely voilet hue to the glass. In the Linen cabinet, I have ironed and starched some of my vintage towels, just looking for some vintage ribbon tie them up with. Most of the Blue and White porcelain was purchased when we lived in Japan years ago. Some were antique pieces and others were new. We painted the walls a soft green, and with the cottage white of the wainscoting the effect is quite charming!

Blessings to you this day.....xo

Oh! Oh! I love the changes you've made. In fact, your colors are very much like my own . We, too, have white wainscoating and green walls, though a little lighter green. And I love your corner cabinet! (If it turns up missing someday, you will know right where to look!...teee...hee....) Thanks for sharing these pretty pictures.... Debra

I love the sink and cabinet underneath, and the faucets are beautiful!! The cabinet in the corner with all the pretty things you have displayed there is a lovely focal point. Very nicely decorated. I very much enjoy how you use family heirlooms in your decorating.
