Counting my blessings~

What a glorious day this has been! Woke to some clouds and fog which burned away and brought the sunshine...Its been much cooler this past week!! Thank goodness!
Finishing up on the kitchen routine today, a tad bit behind, but I've been playing catch up today due to DS graduation! The household has calmed, and I've regained my focus on the tasks for just today...
I have the silver soaking in the kitchen sink in a solution of baking soda and salt, with plenty of hot water...works like a charm!! De-cluttering drawers and straightening up the pantry. I use the good silver everyday...to celebrate life! Why wait for the "right" time to use the good china or silver...try it everyday and make the day that much more special!
I purchased some wonderful "cold brew" tea bags and the market last week! They are made by "Celestial Seasonings" and they are called " Raspberry Ice" and Blueberry Ice"...absolutely divine! A pitcher of cold water, drop in some tea bags and you have such a refreshing and tasty glass of tea..quite yummy I must say!!
I cut some more roses from the various rose bushes we have and made 2 huge arrangements, even used a few hydrangeas as well....they are so pretty and I've said this before but bears repeating again, just a few little posies in a vase or the "Mason" jar just brings the room to life!
DH has said that he has been hungry for Spaghetti, so you guessed it...that is on the menu for tonight's dinner, but I will be adding meatballs also and having a wonderful tossed green salad.
Time to continue my tasks that await me....will post again this evening sometime.
Blessings one and all~

"I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord make me dwell in safety." ~ Psalm 4:8~

Mindy...I also use my silver for everyday. Why not? Everyday is special!!1 I found mine at an estate sale a couple years...1/2 off the $75, as it was the 2nd day!!! The whole service for 12, complete in the case. What a blessing!

Oohh..the tea sounds fabulous! I will look for it next time I'm out. Could you tell me how much baking soda and salt you use to clean your silver? I've been meaning to give mine a good cleaning. I bought some cleaner..but your way sounds easier! :0)

I love mason jars! When I visited the US a few years ago, I went to a gorgeous place called Whidby Is in WA state and bought myself a couple of those jars. They are precious to me. The tea bags sound great - something I will keep a lookout for summer time.

I alway's use my best tea set on a daily basis. So far I've smashed 2 cups, chipped another, chipped a plate and broken the milk jug!! It does make me sad, but I do love using it.

Mindy,
That's a great picture of the Mason jars! I love reading your posts~thanks for the glimpse into your life.
Oh, and if you don't mind, I would also like to know how much baking soda and salt you use. My old silver could sure use it.
Thanks,
Debbie
