Corner of my home~

This is a sweet little statue of a little girl reading that I picked up at a yard sale a few months ago, she's reading a book and I thought in keeping with the reading theme, to place her on top of a stack of decorating books. This is the living room window which looks out into our front yard....outside below this window, sits two window boxes filled to the brim with nutmeg scented geraniums. When the weather is cooler I open up the from window and the gentle scent of nutmeg is just heavenly!!
There shall be eternal summer in the grateful heart. ~Celia Thaxter

Mindy, what a beautiful post, just so refreshing! Your nutmeg scented geraniums must smell heavenly. I must remember to water my mint one today and my apple geranium. They are my favorites of all my houseplants. Wishing you a pleasant week-end dear blogging friend. I feel like I've just been over to your home for real and I've come away smiling...thank you. and I love that quote too!!

I love the use of statuary inside the hoem.
It blends naturally with old books, linens and the like.
A home without books seems void and empty.

A soothing vignette.
