The weekend came and went too quickly!! Saturday my hubby and I repotted some plants that were in dire need of it, as well and planted some violas, marigolds, and pansies. Did some weeding also and just puttered in the yard just the two of us. It was a lovely day and then our youngest son who is now 18 grilled some hot dogs, to go with the potato salad that I had made earlier in the day. It was a very productive day, enjoying the weather we've been having.
Sunday I cleaned out and re-organized my linen closet. Spruced that area up, so when I open up the cabinet door, it doesn't look like a bomb went off inside it!!! I was able to hang some lace panels behind my tabtop curtains in our room. The lace softens the window considerably and adds just a softness to the room too. I went back outdoors to finish up the weeding that needed to be done. Hubby grilled some steaks which were so good! We had dinner by candlelight at the dining room table, all 7 of us. My hubby's best friend came and spent the day visiting as well and our sons' girlfriend, and our daughter. It was a lovely end to a weekend!!
Today will be spent doing my weekly home blessing and catching up on laundry! Have a peaceful day!

Some words of wisdom for today~ "She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness." Proverbs 31:27
" The homeliest tasks get beautiful of loving hands do them." Louisa May Alcott

violas are one of my favourite little flowers, seeing as my great nan's name was viola. your weekend sounds just as it should be. Love Louisa May Alcott too - named my first daugher after her!

I love your quotes. Words of wisdom shed a gentleness over our lives don't they. And...the lace panels sound so soothing. Beauty is soothing I think...it sounds like you had a very productive and enjoyable week-end. Just what we all like to have. I got a lot done on Friday and Saturday..all the laundry is caught up and thats a lovely feather in my cap....smile.

What a lovely weekend you had. I loved reading about your work in the garden. Still a far off cry for us in UK I'm afraid. However, there are signs that the earth is waking up and Mother Nature is at work. Snowdrops and daffodils are in flower, the reddish tips of the peony shoots are through and leaf buds can be seen on bushes and trees. Marion

What a lovely weekend you had, I loved reading about your work out there in the garden. A far cry from how things are in the UK, but nevertheless the earth is waking up and Mother Nature is at work with signs of spring evereywhere. Marion
