Vintage finds.........

I was originally supposed to watch my grandson yesterday, but my Daughter in law called and said she has the rest of the week off, so I called my sister and drove to her home, about 30 minutes from me . We visited for awhile and decided to go to our favorite antique store, and these precious finds are from yesterdays excursion!! Lucky to find 3 issues of Victoria, which I dearly love, now out of print...A vintage postcard dated from 12/12/30 to someone in Berlin, and the script in front is German, its just beautiful. A lovely little cream and red saucer with flowers painted on it, and of course, my Irish coffee mug!! I thoroughly enjoyed my day with my sis, its always restorative to be with her! The mountains have snow on them and made for a breathtaking drive, it was cold outside as we drove and sipped some coffee, We had dinner together and talked some more and then I drove home. Lovely time spent with family and creating more memories.....

I only have one sibling - a sister. she lives a 3 hour drive from me - but the days we do get together and go op shopping are the best! we have such fun. What a great lot of 'stuff' you found & happy for you enjoying your day out xoxo

I am lucky that my sister lives close by. We are different, but get on very well, and have some great chats together putting our world to rights!

Sounds like the best day Mindy. I'm so happy you enjoyed it :)

*hugs*

Hi Mindy, thanks for commenting on my blog. I grew up in Anaheim, lived there until I was about 17. I went to Savannah High School, left there in 1986. Would love to go back someday and visit and see how everything has changed over these years. Have a great evening! Blessings! ;)

Hello Mindy... I enjoyed reading about your lovely day out the little treasures that you found. Its such a thrill isn't it !and thank you for sharing with your blogging friends.
I love the little coffee mug! Everything looks so well set out on your nicely polished table too. Now tell me, are you going to display the mug, or use it? Marion

I collect Victoria magazines too, why did they ever stop publishing them? I'm glad you had such a beautiful time with your sister all day long...blessings to you. We are getting our computer tonight so I'll be back in business tomorrow hopefully. I am borrowing a few minutes...ok..an hour on my son's laptop....smile.

Oh what beautiful finds! You've been very lucky! I regret to have totally missed out on the Victoria mags here in Germany. Looks like a must have had to me!
