taking a deep breath

I am pacing myself these past few days due in part, to feeling very fatigued. Laundry gets done in the morning, so I don't have to run the washer/dryer when the A/C in on. The crockpot is filled with some delicious Spaghetti sauce and Meatballs. This will be dinner!! Alongside we will have a tossed green salad and roasted garlic on French Bread! The roasted garlic is so easy....chop the top off of the garlic, drizzle it all over with some good olive oil, wrap tightly in foil, and put into the oven and roast done, when the garlic is done it will be tender and spread like butter!! Toast some good crusty french bread and spread the roasted garlic...just heavenly!!
I went to prayer today at the church. We have prayer from 12-1 Mon-Fri...and I've made a commitment to the Lord that I would partake in this. As I walked to my car, I knew that I perceived correctly that this is what the Lord would have me do.
Its a very hot day here today...104 was the high, and again, I'm so ready for cooler temperatures....and by the end of the week the forecasters are saying, it will be in the 80's!! So for this I'm so thankful. I haven't started my seasonal decorating for the Autumn season yet...was waiting or it to cool down a wee bit, but I may just get started this week and do a little there and there...and spread the touches throughout the house! I am just looking at all the blessings in my life, and I'm so thankful to the Lord...for He has blessed me and loved me with His unconditional love! Enjoy your evening and count your blessings!!!!

Yes, count my blessings. That is wonderful!!
Our son lives there in California. I think I have told you that before. His A/C went out about a month ago and he has had a time getting it replaced. I talked to him this weekend and he said it is to get replaced this week. He said he has been so very hot..Hopefully soon it will cool down for you guys and for us here in Georgia too.

Mindy,
Beautiful photos of your vacation! Here in the midwest it is finally cooling down---nights are in the blessed 50's!
As for the roasted garlic---nothing could be easier...or deadlier! I did some a couple years ago, and was pretty much eating it right out of the foil, it was SO delicious! I stunk for 2 days. Garlic smell was oozing out of my pores. I won't even describe the nasty gas it gave me. Suffice it to say, I take it real easy with the garlic nowadays!!!
Have a blessed week!

Goodness Mindy, you have it hot there. It would simply wipe me out. I don’t cope with heat too good. 80 degrees is even too hot for me.
Thanks for sharing your holiday pictures, it looks a wonderful place and I’m sure you really appreciated the cooling sea breezes didn’t you. Marion

You are wise to listen to your body and to rest when tired. Too many of us never slow down, and never get renewed.

Enjoy!

I love the post and the pictures of the vacation are wonderful. I like the yellow house and I would like to have that for my front porch lol. I am glad you made the switch to bata, now I can leave a comment on your blog. I hope they fix that problem soon. I could not take my front porch along...so now I am September Morn. Come visit both the old and new.
