books and teddy bears....

This bookcase I found at a thrift store years ago....The picture above it was my grandmothers as was the quilts folded on the trunk. I bought the trunk at a yard sale last year...great buy and additional storage to boot! The teddy bears my husband purchased for me over the years....and the wood shelf was also a yard sale steal...which my daughter and I painted with different colors of green....I didn't spend any money on this room..I used what I already had, and changed things around a bit...now it makes me smile when I go in there.

Hi Mindy....

First i must say... I hope you are feeling better dear.

I’ve just been looking through the pages of your blog again, you have some really lovely photographs. I just love the colour scheme you use, very clean, crisp and calming and your pictures are very inkeeping with the name of your blog.

We have very much the same taste in colours and items of furniture and this is why I’m drawn so much to all you have and the way you display it.

I keep going back to the pictures of your yard sale finds, you know, you are so lucky to have found such lovely things. I may have said this before somewhere, we don’t have yard sale, maybe the occasional garage sale, which I guess is the same as your yard sale, but the popular way of selling unwanted stuff is the boot sale. They have started again, the first one was held on Easter Saturday, it was huge, well huge for this area, there were 68 sellers. This was the weekend that Christopher and his wife were with us, so desiring to spend as much time with them as possible, it was a very quick cursory look around. I could easily have spent a couple of hours or more if circumstances had been different. I’ll have to to take some photographs so we can compare. Maybe you will do the same, I’d love to see how these yard sales you go to are set out.

Hugs - Marion
